The appts is for the back rest (1) which has a bodywork fixed forward closed part (9) on which is clasped a lock (6). The lock is arranged above a handle operated safety catch (7). The safety catch is connected to a rotary rod (13). The rod has a rotary gripping part (23) on the outwards protruding operating end of the back rest which acts as a handle. The rotary gripping part is couplable to the rotary rod by a key (26) operated locking device (25). The locking device is in the form of a locking cylinder.
