A terminal device 8 is locatable adjacent similar devices on a rail to form a terminal block through which data and bus lines pass and are connected from block to block by contacts such as 10 and 15. Each device includes a pcb 9 feeding data and power to terminals 18 - 21. Spring contacts 10 projecting from one lateral surface of a terminal block are fed through the block by plug and socket connectors (12 figure 2) to contact webs (11) at the opposite surface of the block. The webs (11) contact the sprung contacts 10 of an adjacent block. Bridging members (17, figure 7) having a blade (15) at one end and a fork at the other, pass through a block and/or a device 8 from lateral surface to lateral surface, to interengage for passing power through adjacent blocks/devices. The device housings include spigots and sockets that interengage to define a block, and adjacent blocks are located by mating housing formations (25, figures 3 and 5).
