Method for the manufactoring of inserts.

Moulded prods. (inserts) (I) are obtd. by polymerisation of ethylenically polymerisable materials (II) in moulds, to give prods. with at least part of the surface incompletely polymerised. Also claimed is a mould (III) for the prodn. of (I), consisting of an oxygen permeable material and with an oxygen-permeable film for covering the mould cavities. Also claimed is a process for the prodn. of (I) (see below). Also claimed is a kit for the prodn. of (I), comprising (a) a silicone impression material, (b) a container to act as a casting mould for (a), (c) opt. a prefabricated cover film for the mould, (d) standard inserts for use directly or after shaping as patterns for (I), and (e) a composite for the prodn. of (I).
