A gaseous mixture for forming aerosols for the operational testing of smoke signal devices contains 80-60 wt.% of 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and 20-40 wt.% of dimethyl ether (CH3-O-CH3). The mixture also contains an aerosol-forming component. Also claims the use of the gaseous mixture for the operational testing of smoke signal devices of all types. Pref. the mixture contains 72-68 wt.% of tetrafluoroethane and 28-32 wt.% of dimethyl ether. The aerosol forming component is bis-2-ethylhexyl sebacate, disebacates having different ester groups, paraffin oil, dibutyl or bis-2-ethylhexylphthalate, butyloxy-ethanol and/or triethylene glycol, and makes up a maximum of 2 wt.% of the mixture; and is pref. bis-2-ethylhexyl sebacate in 0.005-0.3 wt.% mount. |
