PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition useful for FRP moldings, excellent in mechanical properties, water resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance and moldability, by mixing a vinyl ester resin with specific amounts of a filler, a curing agent, a mold releasing agent and a curing retardant. CONSTITUTION:This composition is obtained by mixing (A) 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl ester resin such as a resin prepared by blending a bisphenol A type vinyl ester resin with a novolak type vinyl ester resin in the weight ratio of 100:0-50:50 with (B) 10-100 pts.wt. of a filler such as calcium carbonate or clay, (C) 2-8 pts.wt. of a curing agent such as a peroxydicarbonate, (D) 2-5 pts.wt. of a mold releasing agent such as a fatty acid (salt) and (E) 0.3-0.5 pts.wt. of a curing retardant such as catechol. |
