PURPOSE:To provide a method and device for imparting inner pressure to preformed polyolefin resin foam particles wherein such foam particles can be heated efficiently and uniformly, the time for required for imparting the inner pressure is shortened and production efficiency can be improved. CONSTITUTION:In imparting inner pressure to preformed polyolefin resin foam particles by forcibly supplying an inorganic gas therein, the particles are brought into contact with hot air to preheat the particles to 70-100 deg.C, the particles are filled into an inner pressure imparting tank, thereafter the initial pressure is made at least 0.5kg/cm<2>G and an inorganic gas is forcibly supplied into the inner pressure imparting tank at a pressure rising rate of at least 0.5kg/cm<2>h/G to make the inner pressure of the particles 1.9-2.3atm. |
