摘要 PURPOSE:To detect each speed accurately by providing a piezoelectric on a substrate with interdigital electrodes for excitation and receiving, receiving surface acoustic wave from the exciting electrode at the receiving electrode, amplifying the signal and feeding the signal back to the exciting electrode thereby constituting an oscillation circuit and then determining the variation in the steepness of oscillation. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric 1 is provided with an interdigital electrode 2 for input and an interdigital electrode 3 for output and a surface acoustic wave generated from the electrode 2 is received by the electrode 3. A signal received at the electrode 3 is amplified by an amplified 4 and fed back to the electrode 2. When the feedback signal has a gain of 1 or higher, the circuit oscillates at a frequency determined by the interval of electrode from an output terminal 5 and the propagation constant of the substrate. When a signal is applied to the electrode 2 and an angular speed is imparted in the direction of a detecting axis 100, the intervals of the electrodes 2, 3 are not matched each other because of the piezoelectric effect and Coriolrs force. Consequently, the steepness of oscillation is varied significantly and the angular speed is determined by measuring the variation.
