PURPOSE:To improve the selecting accuracy of an optimum solution in reflection of the features proper to words. CONSTITUTION:A morpheme analyzing device is provided with an input part 1 which inputs the KANJI (Chinese character)-KANA (Japanese syllabary) sentences, a word dictionary 6, a word cost part 7 which applies the word cost, a connection table 8 where the connection cost is set, an analyzing part 2 which generates a word candidate string by means of the dictionary 6 and both parts 7 and 8, a cost calculating part 3 which calculates the total sum of both word and connection costs against the word candidate string generated at the part 2, and an optimum solution selecting part 4 which selects the word candidate string having the least total sum of costs as an optimum solution when the total sum of costs is calculated at the part 3 against each word candidate string. In this case, the part 7 divides the frequency of a certain word checked by a large amount of copath by the total sum of frequency of the words of the same part of speech as the relevant word to decide a logarithm of the value of division and then gives the value obtained by turning the logarithm into an integer to the word as the word cost value. |
