Ground anchor with spreading arms forced apart by threaded rod
摘要
The spreading arms (1) are located in a ground bore and are rigidly coupled to a threaded nut (B) on a footplate (C). The threaded rod (A) is screwed down into the of the thread (a) of the nut and down through a footplate aperture between the spreading arms, fitting the of the cross-section of the nut. Thus the arms are forced apart and act in a ground compacting manner. Pref. the spreading arms have normally an OD, matching that of the nut, over their entire length. There is an inner restriction for obtaining a longer compression in solid ground.
