Grinding shoe for hand tool with vacuum removal of dust

The grinding shoe is attached to a hand tool via a fixing element that attaches the shoe to a threaded spindle on the rotational axis (2) of the grinding shoe. The shoe body lies between the support plate and a carrier layer for the abrasive disc. Channels (8) from the support plate through to the abrasive disc enable grindings to be removed by suction. The lower entries (11) to the channels (8) are radiused (9) to present a cross sectional area to the grinding surface which is larger than that of the channel. The axis (20) of the abrasive disc (12) is offset from the shoe axis (2) but the air flow (15) remains adequate.
