The compact balanced tubular tyre esp. for cycle sport, is a tubeless cover with running surface, enclosing an airtight layer. It may have breaker strip and sidewall. Excess cover width overlaps, forming the carcass. To form it, two plies with diagonal cross plies of textile cord are bonded. The inner long edge of the internal ply (1) is steplessly integrated over the opposite edge of the same ply, overlapping by s1 >= 2 mm = b1, i.e. the excess material width. The overlapping edge lies against the outer ply (2) internal edge. The plies (1, 2) have flush internal surface; outer overlap d is accommodated advantageously beneath the tread, occupying between 10 mm. and 63% of the meridional circumference. |
