PURPOSE:To provide a printer which can confirm the set contents at a time by setting an indication means for indicating the confirmation of set contents and a control means for printing the set content in a hierarchical structure in the case an indication is issued by the indication means. CONSTITUTION:Respective settings of operation environment are specified in the hierarchical manner, and a visible image based on a printing data from a host device 1-1 is printed on a given recording medium in compliance with the contents of respective specified items. A printer 1-2 comprises an indication means 1-8 for indicating the confirmation of set contents and a control means 1-6 for printing the set contents in a hierarchical structure in the case an indication is issued by the indication means 1-8. As a result, the set contents are printed in the hierarchical structure, and the respective existing set content can be confirmed by collating other items, and the set environment as a whole can be clarified at a glance. |
