AMPHIPHATIC POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL DERIVATIVE AND ITS USE

PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound to be used as a lipidic microcell modifier, capable of suppressing adsorption of proteins to lipidic microcells and agglomeration of these microcells due to such adsorption, also suppressing leaking out from lipidic microcell membranes when used as a membrane constituent for lipidic microcells. CONSTITUTION:This lipidic microcell modifier consists of an amphiphatic polyethylene glycol derivative made up of hydrophilic segment having polyethylene glycol chain of the formula R<1>O-(CH2CH2O)n-(CH2)m (R<1> is a 1-5C alkyl or H; (n) is an integer of 5-1000; (m) is an integer of 0-4) and polymerizable hydrophobic segment.
