PURPOSE:To produce an air bag having a patternwise release layer by providing either one of or both of a printing layer and a metallized layer to a first base material layer or a second base material layer. CONSTITUTION:A first film 1 and a second film 2 are bonded and laminated through release layers 7 composed of mutually communicating checkered patterns to form a laminate and an air injection valve 23 is attached to the end edge part of the laminate to produce an air bag 20'. The parts of the release layers 7 provided by the mutually communicating checkered patterns form the non-adhesive parts 22 easily peeling the first and second films in the air bag 20'. At parts where the release layers 7 are not provided, the first and second films 1, 2 are perfectly bonded to form bonded parts 21. When air is injected into the air bag 20' through the valve 23, the parts of the release layers 7 having checkered patterns become air chambers to obtain an air bag wherein square air chambers are arranged in a checkered pattern. |
