PURPOSE:To continue recording without missing images at low cost by a device wherein it is detected whether a plurality of recording means are in a state able to discharge an ink or not, receiving speed is lowered when one of the recording means is in a state unable to discharge the ink, and the recording is continued by using the remaining recording means. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of recording means 111a and 111b discharge ink drops in accordance with an image data received by a receiving means 103 so as to record images on a recording material. A detecting means 114 detects whether the recording means are in a state able to discharge the ink or not. Further, a record control means 115 controls the recording means to record the image data by using the remaining recording means when the detecting means 114 detects that one of the recording means is in a state unable to discharge the ink. A communication control means 101 lowers the speed for receiving the image data of the receiving means when the detecting means 114 detects that one of the recording means is in the state unable to discharge the ink. |
