PURPOSE:To obtain a polypropylene sheet having high rigidity and excellent in transparency and secondary workability in e.g. vacuum molding. CONSTITUTION:This polypropylene sheet has a crystalline orientation coefficient of 0.1-0.6 and comprises 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene and 0.01-1 pts.wt. of a nucleating agent, e.g. 1.3,2.4-di(methylbenzylidene)sorbitol. The sheet is produced by compounding 100 pts.wt. of polypropylene with 0.01-1 pts.wt. of the nucleating agent, the obtained polypropylene composition is subjected to melt extrusion to form a sheet and it is cooled and then subjected to rolling at a temperature below the melting point of the crystal to obtain a sheet having a crystal orientation coefficient of 0.1-0.6. Further, the sheet is optionally compounded with an olefinic elastomer. |
