PURPOSE:To provide a plated surface which is safe, inexpensive, and excellent in adhesion by forming the flame sprayed layer by plasma of other metallic material on the surface of Mg alloy or Ti alloy, and forming the plated layer with this flame sprayed layer as the base layer. CONSTITUTION:A flame sprayed layer 2 is formed by realizing the plasma flame spraying of other metallic material, preferable iron, aluminum or the alloy thereof on the surface of a member 1 to be plated made of Mg alloy or Ti alloy. It is preferable to smooth the flame sprayed layer 2 by using fine flame spraying powder, or grinding or dissolving the surface of the flame sprayed layer 2 through the reverse electrolysis. Alternatively, the flame sprayed layer of other metal which is excellent in the adhesion to the alloy and stable may be provided before forming the flame sprayed layer 2 as required. Then, the plated layer 3 of Ni, etc., is formed with the flame sprayed layer 2 as the base layer. The plated layer excellent in adhesion can be formed while the alloy surface is not brought into direct contact with the plating liquid. |
