<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject new derivative useful for treating and preventing hypercholesterolemia, hyperlipemia and arteriosclerosis and further treating and preventing fungal infectious diseases. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by formula I (ring Ar<1> to ring Ar<3> each is an aryl or a heteroaromatic ring; Q is single bond, CO-0, O-CO, CH2CH2, CH=CH, OCH2, SCH2 or CH2OCH2S; R<1> to R<4> each is H, a halogen, an alkyl, OH or an alkoxy; R<4> is further an aryl or a heteroaromatic ring which may be substituted with a halogen, an alkyl or an alkoxy; R<5> to R<9> each is H or an alkyl; R'' is H, an alkyl, an alkoxy or carboxyl), its pharmaceutically permissible salt or ester, e.g. 4-[N-{(1S,2R)-3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1- methyl-2-(2-naphthoyloxy)propyl}carbamoylmethyl]phthalic acid. The compound is obtained by reacting a compound expressed by formula II with a carboxylic acid expressed by formula III or its reactive derivative and, as necessary, removing the protecting groups.</p> |
