OBJECT-ORIENTED VIEW EDITOR FRAMEWORK

A view system is disclosed which provides support for minimal recomputation required to support correct display of data. This mechanism is developer-extensible to insure timely access to view changes and to allow customization of individual view modifications. Batching is also supported to allow many changes to be applied in the background before displaying the resultant change on the display. Notifications can also be batched to minimize system traffic.
