In a cargo ship having in its holds tanks 9 for holding liquids, the tanks are slidably guided on hollow vertical shafts 10, 11, 12 which extend from the deck to a compartment 6 in the bottom of the ship, projections 13 on the sides of the tanks engaging the outsides of the shafts to locate the tanks. In the embodiment shown a shaft 10 is arranged in each transverse bulkhead between two adjacent holds. |
