<p>An image processing appts. for producing images on copy sheets, includes copy sheet sensors, a copy sheet path defined by a number of copy sheet zones having associated sensors, a copy sheet drive, and a controller for the image processing. The controller tracks movement of the copy sheets along the copy sheet path by reference to the copy sheet sensors, and a method of programming of a machine jam involves entering the controller into a jam mode, and determining a desired copy sheet jam zone. The sensor associated with the desired copy sheet zone is selected. The controller is set to ignore a non jam signal from the selected sensor, and operation of a job run is initiated in the image processing appts. A jam signal is detected from the selected sensor, and the imaging processing appts. is cycled down in response to the jam signal by the selected sensor.</p> |
