<p>PURPOSE:To satisfy heat resistant and corrosion resistant requirements simultaneously, and use low-cost stainless steel by installing a gate valve for a seawater pipeline of a heater and establishing a system which injects freshwater to a steam chamber and the seawater line, and a system which discharges seawater. CONSTITUTION:Seawater stop valves 23 and 24 installed to the inlet/outlet of a heater 22 are closed while a fresh-water stop valve 26 is opened, thereby introducing fresh-water into a steam chamber of the heater 22 and a seawater pipeline 8 by way of a freshwater pipeline 25. During the operation, a drain valve installed to a drain pipe 28 is opened so as to discharge the injected freshwater and seawater, thereby cleaning the inside of the heater 22. After the cleaning operation is over, if the drain valve 29 is kept open, the water inside the heater 22 is discharged to keep an environment favorable to corrosion resistance. This construction prevents generation of corrosion without adopting any specific stainless steel, since the heater 22 is cleaned with freshwater after the heating operation of seawater.</p> |
