<p>PURPOSE:To provide a solid-state image pick-up device which can be thinned and provide high sensitivity and a method for manufacturing the same. CONSTITUTION:A color filter portion 37 comprises single synthetic resin layers dyed yellow, green cyan and magenta and complementary color filters 45, 46, 47, 48 each having a protective layer 43 and a microlens 44, with the green- dyeing layer 40 of the complementary green color filter 46 dyeing the corresponding synthetic resin layer with green copper phthalocyanine pigment. The yellow, green, cyan, and magenta dyeing layers, 39, 40, 41, 42, respectively, are each comprised of one layer and have no great difference in thickness among them, and the protective layer 43 stacked to form a flat surface is thin and provides good flatness. As a result, the color filter portion 37 is small in thickness and the microlens 44 takes a uniform shape adapted for small focal lengths, enabling thinning of the device while enhancing sensitivity.</p> |
