PURPOSE:To enable simple and correct confirmation of a place where a driver visited in the past. CONSTITUTION:During the running, a GPS receiver 3 detects the position of a vehicle and the date periodically and outputs them as data. Using map data stored in CD-ROM 1, a map drawing part 10d draws an image of a map around the position of the vehicle in video RAM 10e together with a vehicle position mark. The image in the video RAM 10e is read out by a synthesizing part 10i and converted into prescribed video signals by a conversion part 10j and then they are outputted to a display device 4 and displayed on a screen. When a place recording key is pushed in an operating panel 2, a recorded place recording-erasing part 10c makes the data on the vehicle position and the data on the date at that time point be stored in a recorded place memory 10b, and a recorded place mark list drawing part 10g draws a recorded place mark in a spot corresponding to a recorded place on the map image drawn in the video RAM 10e and draws the date near the recorded place mark, so that they be displayed on the screen. |
