PRODUCTION OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide a process for production of a liquid crystal display device which has a high opening rate and prevents the degradation in images by a bright state along wirings. CONSTITUTION:Gate wirings 10a and picture element electrodes 3a are formed on a first glass substrate 1a and after gate insulating layers 9a are deposited, source wirings 11a are arranged and a black org. photosensitive material contg. carbon is applied thereon and is subjected to exposing and developing from the front surface of the substrate to form black org. materials 15a wider than the gate wirings 10a and the source wirings 11a. The substrate 1a with electrodes obtd. in such a manner and the substrate 1a formed with a common electrode 6a are disposed to face each other via a liquid crystal 2a. Electric lines of force head nearly perpendicularly to the common electrode 6a from the front surface of the black org. materials 15a when a voltage is applied to such device and, therefore, the infiltration from the edge parts of the gate wirings 10a or the source wirings 11a is suppressed and the electric lines of force along the wirings are narrowed.
