The method autometically saves data stored at a RAM to a secondary storage at every certain period of time. A CPU(10) which has a count detects an input of a key through a keyboard(40) at the 201 stage. The CPU increases the count one at the 203 stage. The CPU examines an occurrence of a key input at the 205 stage. If a key is inputted, the CPU initializes the count to zero at the 207 stage. The CPU counts one and goes to the 205 stage at the 209 stage. If a key is not inputted at the 205 stage, the CPU compares the value of the count and set one at the 211 stage. If the value of the count is smaller than the set one, the CPU goes to the 203 stage at the 213 stage. If not, the CPU saves a file in a RAM(50) at the 215 stage.
