A post (1) is destined to have mounted on it,protection panels (2) of the type comprising a principal main part (8) extending the length of a rectilinear axis (1a). There are also support side-boards (9) for the panels (2). The main part (8) has a transverse cross-section in the form of a hexagon or pseudo-hexagon. The support side-boards (9) have a first hole (13) crossing a parallel axis to that (1a) of the main core (8) and at least a second threaded hole (14) leading to the first hole (13).
