Pressure sensor for i.c. engine combustion pressure

The pressure sensor has a housing (1) enclosing a hollow space with an open end sealed by a metal membrane (40). The hollow space is filled with a pressure transfer fluid (10) for transferring the pressure acting on the membrane to a pressure measuring element (5). The membrane has a resonance frequency which is the same as the frequency of an abnormal pressure oscillation. Pref. the membrane is circular with its dia. and thickness selected to obtain resonance at the abnormal pressure oscillation frequency.
