The yarn guide needle, for a Jacquard knitter, has a rigid structure formed from a single flat plate, with an upper flat section (30) and lower flat section (31) connected by a twisted centre section (22), which pitches the upper and lower sections (30,31) against each other. The upper section (30) has a lock channel (28) to take a pin. A control rod is fitted to the lower end, to move the guide (1) for the descending and overlapping movements. A guide hole (36) is at the lower end for a yarn to pass through.
