A printing mechanism (90) contains an image roller (21), an inking unit (25) for the image roller, a print screen roller (20), to which the image is transferred from the image roller, and a print roller (22) for pressing the object (16) to be printed against the screen roller so as to copy the image onto the object. A direction changing device (28) is arranged before the print roller and a continuous element (30) engages the print roller and direction changer. A printed object holder (32) mounted on the continuous element (30) can move the object (16) to be printed in the direction of the continuous element for printing. A concave section (22a) formed in the print roller (22) accepts the holder (32).
