PURPOSE:To obtain an FRP molded piece having mechanical strength and low anisotropy by forming an utmost layer as a molded piece surface with a mat layer, using a roving layer for a first layer inside of the mat layer, and alternately layering the mat layer and a cloth layer for an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:A roving to be used for forming a roving layer is made by drawing and aligning strands which are obtained by bunching monofilaments so as to be an optional yarn number, or by drawing and aligning the filaments by directly bunching them. By using the roving, mainly 0 deg. flexural strength and tensile strength can be improved and molding can be done easy. A chopped strand mat is formed by dispersing the strands cut into a predetermined length in random directions and layering them to a uniform thickness, and molding it into a mat by a binder. A cord cloth is of a fiber reinforced material made by connecting yarn and roving arranged in parallel by organic fibers, which is used mainly for reinforcing a strength (90 deg. flexural strength) in the rectangular direction to the pull-out direction. |
