Photovolaic cells have two glass panes which enclose a photovoltaic material combination and which have facing electrically conductive coatings connected at at least one pane edge to an exposed contact (5). The novelty is that the cells (8-15) are arranged in multiples on the same glass panes and are sepd. from one another by sealing strips. The pref. square cells (8-15) are arranged in two rows and the contacts (5) are pref. located at the outsides of the rows. One of the glass panes has edge regions (23) extending beyond the edge of the other pane. For provision of its contacts (5) and has edge regions (24) recessed w.r.t. the edge of the other pane for provision of the contacts (5) of the other pane. The coatings have a peripheral collector lead (5) which is connected to the contacts and which opt. acts as the contacts. ADVANTAGE - The arrangement of series-connected cells is simple to mfr. |
