PURPOSE:To obtain an abrasion retardant sliding face between an output take- out position and a relative motion member by disposing a sliding member jointed to the output take-out position of an elastic body between the elastic body and the relative motion member. CONSTITUTION:An elastic member 11 comprises a base part 11a and two protrusions 11b, 11c and piezoelectric elements 12, 13 generating a longitudinal oscillation L1 mode and a bending oscillation B4 mode are mounted on the base part 11a. Sliding members 14a, 14b are bonded through an epoxy based adhesive to two protrusions 11b, 11c. A synthetic resin is preferably employed in order to enhance durability against a relative motion member 15. When high frequency voltages A, B are applied to two piezoelectric elements 12, 13, the ultrasonic motor causes a composite oscillation of bending oscillation and longitudinal oscillation to induce an elliptical motion with respect to the tip of the protrusions 11b, 11c thus generating the driving power. |
