PURPOSE:To provide a memory backup device capable of easily storing backup data in backup memory in small memory capacity. CONSTITUTION:When image data photographed by an electronic camera is written on main image memory 9a, 9b and the write of the image data on the main image memory 9a, 9b are performed, the exclusive OR of the image data of same address as that of the main image memory 9a, 9b on which the write is performed out of the image data in the main image memory 9a or 9b on which no write is performed and the image data in the main image memory 9a, 9b on which the write is performed is written on the same address as that of the backup memory 9c as the backup data. When the image data on one side of the main image memory 9a or 9b is destroyed, the exclusive OR of the image data in the main image memory 9a, 9b in which the data is not destroyed and the one in the backup memory 9c is taken, and it is written on the main image memory 9a, 9b in which the data is destroyed as the image data. |
