PURPOSE:To make it possible to move the position to emit laser beams of a semiconductor laser, to fix the emitting position even when a laser beam moves, and to form the laser beam in symmetry with respect to its peak. CONSTITUTION:In a semiconductor laser device where at least three stripe electrodes 9A-9D which can be controlled independently and extend in the resonator direction are arranged side by side in a direction orthogonal to the resonator direction, width and gap of the stripe electrodes 9A-9D are made smaller than a carrier diffusion length, and current is injected simultaneously from at least three stripe electrodes so as to complementarily change the amount of current injected from stripe electrodes on both sides of the three stripe electrodes. |
