The heat exchanger tubular bottom (1) is made from stainless sheet steel (2) of a thickness (D) less than or equal to 1.0 mm. The aluminium plating (3,4) on the bottom represents less than 10% of the total thickness of the bottom. The sheet steel is not alloyed and is plated on its two faces by an aluminium layer whose thickness is less than 5% of the thickness of the bottom. The thickness of the tubular bottom is between 0.6mm and 0.8 mm. The aluminium plating is made from an aluminium-zinc alloy. The thickness of the plating is preferably equal to 22 mu m.
