PURPOSE:To allow steady reduction of current consumption by providing a drive circuit section with a current detecting means for limiting the current of stator winding and limiting the input signal from a control circuit section to the drive circuit section such that the detected current value does not exceed a predetermined value thereby reducing the starting current. CONSTITUTION:A control circuit section 39 comprises means 12 for detecting the position of a permanent magnet rotor, a logic circuit 15 for generating an operational command signal for an output circuit from a signal received from the detecting means 12, and a protective circuit 16 for interrupting the logic circuit 15 upon locking of a motor. The resistances of resistors 40, 41 are set such that transistors (Tr) 42, 43 are not actuated during steady rotation but actuated when the motor current increases as compared with steady rotation. The Trs 19, 20 have emitter terminals connected with the base terminals of Trs 42, 43 for limiting current. In other words, the Trs 42, 43 control the operational signal for the drive circuits such that the current detected through the resistor 40, 41 does not exceed a predetermined level. |
