PURPOSE:To provide the radio telephony system capable of lessening the risk of unauthorized use even when an ID code or an authentication code is plagiarized. CONSTITUTION:This system utilizes password codes stored in memories 19 and 25 for password codes of both a master set 18 and the slave set 24. At every time communication is requested from a slave set 24, an authentication code arbitrarily generated at an authentication code generating part 20 and transmitted is combined with the password codes at authentication an encoding circuit 26 of the slave set 24 received with the authentication code and subjected to a predermined encoding, thereby transmitting it to the master set as the authentication code. When it is decided that the received authentication code is correctly encoded based on the transmitted authentication code and the password code stored in the memory 19 for password code at a deciding circuit 22 of the base unit 18 and the slave set 24 can be confirmed, speaking is authorized to the slave set 24. |
