CONSTITUTION:An output voltage in a standard state corresponding to a reference electric charge is stored and held in a ROM 23 beforehand. By using the stored and held output voltage in the standard state corresponding to the reference electric charge and the output voltage corresponding to the reference electric charge inputted from reference electric charge input parts 16a and 16b to vertical transfer registers 12a and 12b in an image pickup state, the fluctuation amount of the light quantity (electric charge amount)-output voltage characteristics is detected in an ALU (arithmetic and logic operation part) 26 and the correction is performed to the output voltage Va corresponding to the signal electric charge in the actual image pickup state based on the detected fluctuation amount.
