In a rotation speed sensor, a measurement element (26) for detecting the movement of a vehicle to be monitored and an electric circuit (35) for evaluating the measurement signals from the measurement element (26) are mounted in a housing (10). The circuit (35) is connected to the measurement element (26) by a flexible printed circuit board (36). In order to obtain a compact and space-saving construction within the housing (10, 11, 12), the printed circuit board (36) is bent by 90 DEG in the area of the measurement element (26). In order to make the printed circuit board (36) easy to bend, it has a recess (39) in the area of the bend and two bars (40, 41) that extend parallel to the recess (39). In addition, a temperature sensor (45) may be easily inserted into one end (38) of the printed circuit board (36) in order to compensate temperature deviations in a simple manner.
