An assembly for separating milling elements from a worked suspension comprises several parts (19, ..., 23) which are movable with respect to each others. Slots (24, ..., 28) are formed between the parts (19, ..., 23). Neighbouring parts (16/19, 19/20, 20/21, 21/22, 22/23) are engaging each other (29.1, 29.2, ..., 36.1, 36.2) thereby being able to perform a limited relative movement in such a way that a first part (16) continuously being moved within its total range of movement, the other parts (19, ..., 22) successively following in a delayed, chain reaction-like discontinuous movement.
