A device for medical radiation therapy has a flexible mat (1) which is placed over the part of the patient's body to be treated. This mat has prefabricated channels (7) extending inside its plane for accommodating or inserting tubular guides in which an essentially point source of radiation can be pushed and positioned. The mat consists of one piece made of silicone or a siliconelike, autoclavable material. The mat is formed from a number of balls (9) or rounded, spherical, ball-shaped bodies (9a) arranged adjacent to one another and connected to one another via neck sections (8), whereby the channels extend through the balls (9) and/or the neck sections (8). Thus, even a mat with a minimum specific thickness has an especially good flexibility and ability to fit over different shapes.
