摘要 PURPOSE:To accurately execute the measurement of distance without causing errors in the measurement of distance by projecting light from plural light emission sources holding the interval X in a center part, executing the measurement of distance and setting the interval X within the range of a specified formula. CONSTITUTION:The rate of the width of a waist part to an object distance L, which object is photographed in the full length on an image-formation plane having vertical dimension V is constant. Supposing that the respective widths of the light emission sources 14-16 are W and the interval in the center part is X, the projected light therefrom is reflected on an object 19 through the projecting lens 12 of a focal distance f2 and received by a light receiving device 18 so as to execute the measurement of distance. The focal distance f1 of a photographic lens 11 and the interval X of the light emission sources are set within the range of the formula. Since a rangefinding beam irradiates the range narrower than the width of a waist part 19a, the detection of the object distance can be always possible and the accurate measurement of distance can be executed without causing the errors in the measurement of distance from an up scene to a full length photographed scene.
