PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic cutting apparatus for SUSHI (vinegared rice) capable of cutting an OSHIZUSHI (an Osaka-style pressed SUSHI) to a prescribed size without causing the collapse of the SUSHI by intermittently transferring a board holding a SUSHI and rotating a cutting blade in a direction perpendicular to the transfer direction of the board while pressing the SUSHI with a pressing means. CONSTITUTION:A board 3 holding a SUSHI 2 is intermittently transferred at a prescribed pitch, the SUSHI is pressed with a pressing means having a necessary number of extensible pressing pins and the SUSHI is cut from a side at the cutting part 21. Two cutting blades placed perpendicular to the transfer direction of the board are intermittently rotated and reciprocated in the direction perpendicular to the transfer direction of the board. After cutting, the cutting blades are moved at the prescribed pitch in the transfer direction of the board with a transfer means 9 to form a long and narrow SUSHI block. |
