PURPOSE:To improve the luminance of an edge light panel in which many extremely small projections in a mirror pyramid state are arrayed on the back surface of a transparent substrate as a light guiding means. CONSTITUTION:A reflection surface 16a on the projection 15 in the mirror pyramid state on a non light source side which receives incident light is changed in a state where it successively rises in a direction away from a primary light source, and the reflecting direction of the incident light is focused ahead on the side of a face to be illuminated, and the area of the reflection surface 16a is changed to be successively enlarged, so that the light guiding means of the edge light panel 1 is obtained. Thus, the reflecting direction of the incident light is aligned with the face to be illuminated so as to improve the luminance and the reflection area is enlarged as the reflection surface is separated from the primary light source, so that the uniformity of the luminance is improved. |
