The coupling comprises a male half (4), and a socket with grip sleeve (18), internal steel balls (19), a spring (18a) and a valve (17). The guard comprises a protective sleeve fitting onto the grip sleeve, and a spring washer (2) resilient in the radial and axial directions, together with a valve (17). In the uncoupled state the balls and spring are protected from dirt by the contact between the washer and the front part of the socket. In the assembled state the washer forms a seal against a surface (4a) in the socket. |
