PURPOSE:To execute illumination with high luminance and high uniformity by producing an edge light panel to be used for a liquid crystal back light by molding. CONSTITUTION:This edge light panel is injection molded by an acrylic transparent resin in such a manner that many very small mirror finished conical projections 15 having a head-cut pyramid shape are arranged on the rear surface of a transparent substrate 10 having a tapered surface thinner toward the front end in a primary light source isolation direction by parallel grooves 13 and intersected grooves 14 by V-grooves of respective pitches of 100 to 300mum. The slopes 16a of the mirror finished conical projections 1 specularly reflect the incident light of the edge light panel. The he other slopes 16b and truncated surfaces 17 eventually irregularly reflected the incident light, by which the illumination as the liquid crystal back light is executed without using a diffusion sheet. |
