PURPOSE: To easily exchange a DASD storage device in the case of opening a top cover, to pull out a central supporting structure from a planar and to easily exchange or maintain the planar. CONSTITUTION: This personal computer 10 is provided with a frame unit and the top cover 12 attached so as to perform pivot movement on the frame unit. In one type of the computer, the top cover 12 is turned to the back part of a system and performs the pivot movement in an upper back direction when being opened. In the other type, the top cover 12 is turned to a side part and performs the pivot movement in an upper direction. One or a plurality of DASD devices 88 are attached and extended downwards from the top cover 12. The planar 36 is attached on the lower surface of the frame unit and a flexible fitting can attach one of the planars of some types.
