PURPOSE:To provide a mobile object location recognition system capable of easily locating plural mobile objects by a simple controlling method. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with the transmitter 3 held in a mobile object 2, a radio receiver 4, an infrared ray camera 5 and a deciding device 6. The transmitter 3 is provided with an ID code generator, a radio wave transmitter, an infrared ray transmitter and a random number generator and simultaneously transmits a radio wave 11 and infrared ray 12 at random timing. The radio receiver 4 extracts an ID signal 13 from received radio wave and transmits the wave to the deciding device 6, and transmits an actuating signal 14 to the infrared ray camera 5. The infrared ray camera 5 starts by the actuating signal 14, detects the infrared rays 12 and transmits a location signal 15 to the deciding device 6. The deciding device 6 inputs the ID signal 13 and the location signal 15 and specifies the ID code and location of a transmission source.
