摘要

PURPOSE:To provide the information storage device which is highly flexible by performing a flexible data process when data are stored in an auxiliary storage device and read out of the auxiliary storage device. CONSTITUTION:A temporary storage managing device 3 once receiving a page-in or page-out command from a pager 2 sends commands for the conversion of data in a temporary storage device 6 to a data converting device 7 in addition to data transfer between a main storage device 5 and the temporary storage device 6, and further starts data transfer between the temporary storage device 6 and a magnetic disk device 4. The data converting device 7 converts the data in the temporary storage device 6 by a specific data converting procedure and stores the converted data in the temporary storage device 6. The specific data converting procedure is set on the basis of information regarding the data conversion.
